Specialist, Product Management
This role is a critical oversight role responsible for ensuring the highest standards of inflight catering across the entire network. This position serves as the primary guardian of service quality, food safety, and procedural compliance, ensuring that all catering units operate in strict alignment with Saudia’s policies and operational instructions.
He / She will focus on the end-to-end catering lifecycle; from meal preparation and loading to quality assurance and contract governance,while driving continuous improvement through rigorous auditing and strategic collaboration with service providers.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance Oversight
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of catering units network-wide to ensure 100% adherence to Saudia’s inflight service policies.
- Monitor food preparation processes, portion control, and presentation to guarantee consistency with approved specifications.
- Oversee loading procedures to ensure galley security, equipment integrity, and timely delivery to the aircraft.
- Governance & SLA Management
- Investigate non-compliance reports and service failures, conducting root-cause analysis for any deviations from standards.
- Manage Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance; document infractions and apply financial penalties or corrective actions where contractually required.
- Maintain comprehensive records of unit performance, audit findings, and rectification status.
- Issue Resolution & Vendor Collaboration
- Act as the primary point of contact for catering service providers to resolve quality or quantity discrepancies identified during inspections.
- Collaborate with catering partners to develop and implement Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) to prevent recurrence of operational issues.
- Stakeholder Integration & Communication
- Liaise with internal departments (Cabin Crew, Procurement, Ground Operations) to ensure seamless integration of catering services into the broader flight operation.
- Communicate policy updates and revised instructions to the catering network, ensuring clear understanding and implementation.
- Continuous Improvement & Industry Trends
- Stay abreast of global airline catering trends, food safety regulations, and technological advancements to enhance Saudia’s service offerings.
- Propose enhancements to existing catering manuals and procedures to drive operational efficiency and passenger satisfaction.
Education:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Major Marketing/ Finance/ Operation & Quality Management)/ Industrial Engineering/ Aviation management/ Public relations/ Media/ Communication/ Digital Marketing/ Nutrition and Food Science/ Tourism.
- The Minimum accepted GPA is 2.75 out 4 / 3.75 out of 5 or equivalent.

- Valid Saudi National ID for at least 6 months.
- Official Education degree showing the overall average/GPA (If obtained out of the Kingdom, you must attach the accreditation letter from Saudi Ministry of Education).
- Official Transcript.
- Standardized Test for English Proficiency (STEP) by QIYAS with the minimum score of 72.
Required English Level:
- Standardized Test for English Proficiency (STEP) by QIYAS with a minimum score of 72.
- The issuance date of the test MUST not exceed Three years from the application date.
- Other English Tests will not be accepted.
- The test is MANDATORY for all candidates including Out of the kingdom graduate.
- If the applicant did not take the STEP test yet, the applicant may complete his application and then update the STEP score in the job application once he has taken the test. (If the requisition is still posted on the website)
