Manager, Enterprise Risk Management

Job Purpose:

To establish and maintain a robust framework for Safety, Quality, Risk Management, and Compliance within the Strategic Business Unit (SBU). The role ensures operational resilience by developing disaster recovery and business continuity plans, implementing Saudia’s ERM policies, and designing risk and compliance ecosystems. It involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, monitoring adherence to governance standards, and fostering a risk- and compliance-aware culture through training and awareness programs. The position provides assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of ERM practices, aligns with regulatory requirements, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to safeguard organizational integrity and continuity.

 

Job Specific Accountabilities:

  • Ensure compliance and implement Saudia’s Enterprise Risk Management policies, guidelines, and processes devised by the Holding in line with Saudia’s set Governance, Risk, and Compliance strategy, policies, and processes.
  • Design an ERM eco-system within the SBU through focusing on processes (risk management at every stage/ level) and people (Risk Officers/ Champions) to ensure risks are managed E2E in a timely manner.
  • Identify, assess, ensure treatment and report on risks per the standard set by Holding and the risk appetite set by the BOD to ensure that risks are mitigated.
  • Identify and deliver required training for employees and determine the required headcount/systems needed to operate the Risk Management function at an SBU level as required to ensure a risk sensitive/ responsive culture.
  • Identify, ensure treatment and report on chronic weakness (i.e., risks) continuously in order to protect the SBU and mitigate potential risks as needed.
  • Provide assurance/ transparency re the adequacy & effectiveness of SBU ERM.
  • Participate fully/openly in annual Risk Maturity Assessment as commissioned by Holding and agree on improvement plans to be implemented.
  • Monitor adherence to ERM methodology (incl. the quality of risk content/ control assertions and speed of remediation) and improve required.

 

Qualification, and Experience:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Business Administration/ Finance/ Information Technology/ Aviation management or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in total.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related function.
  • Minimum of  4 years of experience in a supervisory role.
